Job Summary: The Electrical Maintenance Technician is responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing electrical and electronic systems on packaging machines. This role requires expertise in electrical and electronic troubleshooting, particularly in a packaging environment, to ensure equipment is operating efficiently. Candidates with a Diploma of Associate Engineering (DAE) in Electrical or Electronics and relevant experience in the maintenance of packaging machines are preferred.
Key Responsibilties:
- Conduct routine inspections, maintenance, and repairs on electrical and electronic components of packaging machines.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot electrical/electronic malfunctions, minimizing downtime and ensuring safe, reliable operations.
- Collaborate with production and engineering teams to identify issues and optimize machine performance.
- Interpret electrical schematics, diagrams, and manuals to support troubleshooting and repair processes.
- Perform preventive maintenance to avoid unexpected machine breakdowns.

- Replace and repair electrical components such as motors, sensors, controllers, PLCs, and other packaging machinery parts.
- Maintain accurate documentation for repairs, maintenance schedules, and equipment specifications.

- Provide technical support to machine operators and assist in training on equipment handling and basic troubleshooting.
Requirements:
- Education: Diploma of Associate Engineering (DAE) in Electrical or Electronics.
- Experience: Proven experience in electrical/electronic troubleshooting, preferably in the maintenance of packaging machines.
- Skills: Strong knowledge of electrical systems, wiring, and electronics.
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting electrical schematics and technical manuals.
- Ability to use diagnostic tools and testing equipment for troubleshooting.
- Good problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Knowledge of safety standards and practices in an industrial environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a packaging or manufacturing environment.
